I’m very happy with my Elysium ring overall. The matte finish has a distinctive charcoal or gunmetal-gray appearance rather than being pitch black, and its color changes noticeably with the lighting. The texture feels smooth yet dry and stone-like, unlike any metal ring I’ve worn. Despite its substantial appearance, the band is surprisingly lightweight and comfortable.
The standout feature is its scratch resistance. In my own testing and everyday wear, I found it exceptionally resistant to abrasion. Steel nails and coins left metallic marks that appeared to be material transfer rather than scratches, while rubbing the ring against concrete and granite only left dust that, when brushed away, left the ring itself looking unblemished. However, its hardness also means you need to be careful around phones, other rings, and delicate surfaces. Scratch resistance does not mean the ring is immune to chipping or breaking from a hard impact.
The sizing kit was a helpful step toward getting the fit right, especially because the ring cannot be resized like a conventional metal band. Packaging and the accompanying documentation were also nicely presented.
My main disappointment was the ordering experience. From placing my order to receiving the finished ring took approximately four months, and communication was slower than I would have liked. I understand that manufacturing delays can happen, but more proactive updates and more complete, timely answers to questions would have made the experience much better.
Despite those frustrations, I’m glad I bought this ring. Its unusual appearance, low weight, and impressive scratch resistance make it a genuinely distinctive ring. I would recommend it to anyone interested in the material, provided they confirm their size carefully and allow plenty of time for delivery.
In the attached photos, I show the ring rubbing against granite: the diamond scratches the rock itself, leaving mineral dust on the ring’s surface. Once the dust is wiped away, the ring appears completely unblemished. Rubbing a metal object, such as a coin, against the ring is like drawing chalk across a blackboard. The metal leaves streaks on the surface rather than visibly scratching the ring, and these marks can be washed or brushed away. The photos also show how much the ring’s appearance changes with the lighting, ranging from silvery gray to concrete-like gunmetal and matte black.
The engraving was accurate and looked nice. I would recommend an option to have the engraving painted so it can pop more inside the ring
Bought this ring in a size 12 for my fiancé. True to size and couldn't have asked for a better design. Very happy with the engravings as they came out beautiful just wish it was a slightly deeper engraving. He feels it is a very comfortable fit with the rounded inside and loves the gold and black combination.

Ring is nice, however fit was much different than what the sizing gauge was supposed to be.

Excellent product and service. My regular size is a 9.5 it was fitting a bit snug I sent it back and they made me a new one. I asked for ARES - 8mm - Size 10. Taylor is the person I was corresponding with and he was on top of everything. I received the new one in a couple of weeks and I love it.

This black diamond ring is a really sharp looking men's ring. I had the ring made with an emerald to mark mine and my husband's 20th anniversary. Unfortunately the emerald doesn't show up well against the black ring but overall ring is very nice.

My husband loves his wedding band with a rose gold inlay. I’d ordered a matte finish but got a recommendation to change to polished and the whole ring really pops now. Thank you for such great customer service and a beautiful ring! Masculine yet classy!
You really need to clarify that the satin finish will be GRAY!!! When you sort out satin I get black rings with all finishes. If I would have known that I would have gone with polished!!!
